So every year my family have a few set things we like to do over Christmas, some that we do in the weeks before Christmas and some that we do over the actual day. I thought it would be nice to share these with you and you can share some that you and your family do.
The first thing that comes to mind is board games, usually we will sit up the table and spend a few hours away from technology just playing games, some of the favourites over the year have been Poloconamy, Scrabble and some card games as well. This year we will be playing Ticket to Ride and Munchkin, if you don’t know what they are you should head over to a channel called Geek and Sundry on youtube and watch them play.
Another personal tradition is to go through the tv guide and write a list of all the shows and films I may want to watch over the Christmas season. This is perfect for when you don’t know what to watch and you can’t be bothered to look through a whole tv guide.
One thing me and my mum have done for a long time is the snack shop, usually this will be a couple of weeks or so before Christmas and we buy everything we could possible want to eat over the Christmas season. I don’t tend to join in on the dinner shop because that is usually done a few days before Christmas and I don’t like to be in the shops when it is that busy.
One last thing that comes to mind is Christmas with my friends, we will organise a day to hang out and chill and exchange presents we will usually have some food as well. This is so important to me because we are all growing up and I don’t get to see them as often now so this is the perfect excuse to meet up and chill.
What are your traditions?
